Service Foods is looking for a dedicated and hardworking Produce Picker Packer to work in our Wellington Fresh Produce division. This is for the Night shift and the role is full time, permanent.

We supply to Cafes, Restaurants, Hotels, Manufacturers, Retailers, Distributors and exporters nationwide with a broad selection of imported and locally produced food products. ABOUT THE ROLE: The role involves preparing vegetables, pulling, packing and shipping of fresh produce supplies as well as loading the supplies on to trucks for delivery. Other tasks include

• Picking & packing orders
• Entering orders in the system
• Packing and dispatching orders
• Some heavy lifting
• Also, some other warehouse functions like stocking pack stations with packing supplies and housekeeping.

Hours and days of work:

• 5 days per week, may include a weekend day.
• Approximately 8 hour shifts
• Night shift, start time 10 p.m. (Night shift allowance is paid in addition to hourly wages).
• Immediate start

ABOUT YOU: You need to be someone who can work in our Produce division, picking & packing orders. You can work unsupervised to achieve results.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have some Produce Pick Packing work experience
• Have clear communication skills.
• Also would have reasonably good reading, writing and arithmetic skills.
• Be confident, flexible and have attention to detail
• Have prior NZ experience and knowledge of basic food ingredients
• Have some work experience in handling stocking and restocking of products.
• Be physically strong and fit; should be able to lift up to 25 kg.
• Have a great attitude towards work and be fast learner.
• Possess good organizational and time management skills.
• Be a team player with a positive attitude
• Have reliable attendance and transport.
