This position is located in Serra Mesa, San Diego County.

Hours

12-hour Night shift, 7:00 pm – 7:30 am; every other weekend

Part-time (0.6 FTE) position, 48 hours per pay period

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic patient/resident care skills.

• Effective interpersonal skills.

• Ability to perform all baseline resident / patient care skills under guidance of Licensed Nurse.

• Fluent knowledge (written and spoken) of English.

• One year recent nursing assistant experience.

• CPR required.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Comparable to certified nursing assistant course preferred.

• Experience in geriatric setting OR One-year recent experience in an acute care hospital preferred.

Summary

The Nursing Assistant collaborates with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) in the delivery of quality patient/resident care under the direction of a licensed nurse. Delivers care with consideration to age specific needs/care. Contributes to overall unit functions.

5 North is a 32 bed Medical Surgical unit at Sharp Memorial Hospital. This unit specializes in caring for patient requiring diabetic, renal, cardiac monitoring and respiratory support. We provide professional and holistic nursing care to the adult medical population requiring inpatient services.
