Sheldon Independent School District Hiring for Special Education Clerk Job at Houston, TX Full Time

Primary Purpose:

• Support the efforts of special education at the district level
• Enter student data for PEIMS through the Skyward system
• Assist with SHARS data collection
• Arrange meetings
• Provide translation in Spanish
• Send meeting notices as directed
• Send various reminders
• Manage multiple calendars for support staff
• Provide printed materials as needed

Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or GED certificate; some college preferred
• Knowledge of Medicaid Insurance program
• Competent in computer input/output operations
• Bilingual (Spanish)
• One to three years secretarial experience in a school environment

Other Duties:

• Good communication / organizational skills
• Ability to work well with others
• Ability to schedule appointments
• Flexibility in working with all staff members
• Ability to proof written correspondence for accuracy
• Responsible for the verification of PEIMS reports
• Understand leaver codes
• Maintain emotional control under stress
