Sheraton Ottawa Hotel is currently seeking an Accounting Administrator.

This job is for YOU, if you have the ability to:

• Create genuine connections with our guests, making customer service a priority.
• Handle full cycle AP in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.
• Full Daily Revenue Audit Cycle
• Manage the day to day Head Cashier functions.
• Assist and train staff on cash handling policies and procedures.
• Analyze Month End Departmental Expense Account
• Assist with any additional Month End Journal Entries
• All other tasks assigned by the Financial Controller

Other Key Skills:

• Above average knowledge of Excel, an affinity for numbers, attention to detail.
• Knowledge of cash management principles and/or procedures.
• Knowledge of/experience with accounting software.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Team player.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and guidance.
• Ability to work extended hours during peak times.

Qualifications:

• 3 years’ experience in an Accounting position is an asset.
• University Degree or College Diploma with Accounting courses would be considered an asset.
