Commercial Project Manager
We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Project Manager to join our rapidly growing team. In this role, you’ll be functionally reporting into Finance Director (SE FIN GT S EU WE) and will report to the Commercial Head of Operations in country. You will be managing and optimizing targeted financial results with due professional care.

Extensive experience with Contract Management and/or commercial project management / business administration
Experience in setting up and negotiating terms and conditions of sub contracts
Experience in project budgeting, financial management of risk, opportunities, and claims
Competent in Claim Management
Competent in Conflict Management
Commercially Competent including an understanding of the principles of contract law
Competent in working collaboratively and cooperatively with the project
Competent negotiator
Competent in liaising with and managing the expectations of senior management and key stake holders
Qualified accountant with a track record of financially and commercially managing complex projects
Your Responsibilities
Supporting project procurement by advising on administrative and commercial terms & conditions for subcontracts
Reviews and evaluates the contract conditions incl. all attachments, incorporating tender knowledge from Legal
Feeds forecast, accrual and certification information of Subcontractors into Business controlling / Project Accountant
Supports the PM in identifying, evaluating, assessing risks & opportunities, strategies and response activities and ensures correct methodology for evaluation of risk and opportunities
Administering subcontracts on day to day basis
Manages final account settlements of the supply chain
Provides updates to the Commercial Head of Operations / Finance Director / Project Accountant of all supplier accounts in conjunction with the relevant PM, including accruals, risks, increase in project budget from claims recovery and forecasted end position.
Performs contract analysis with regard to opportunities and risks identification of change order and/or claim potential. Ensures Commercial requirements are met and Siemens contractual rights and entitlements are protected.
Inputs into the Project Change and Claims Strategy and writes and implements the Subcontract change and claims strategies
Supporting the respective PM and site management in contractual matters eg: supporting the contractual change order processes and reviewing and drafting of correspondence of contractual relevance
Identifying, evaluating and following up on all events relevant for incoming and outgoing claims
Collecting, preparing, analysing, and managing relevant claim documents (inc drafting of letters) and evidence in accordance with contractual deadlines & requirements
Ensure timely contractual notifications are made.
Performing quantum and/or delay analyses in view of establishing causation for relevant events impacting the scope of works or project schedule
Proving expert advice and support to project management and site management in the execution of customer contracts and subcontracts
Pursuing or defending in and outgoing claims based on collection of and advising on relevant project records, documentation and all relevant facts.
Leads site based Quantity Surveyor(s) to act according to the Business Conduct Guidelines and establishes a culture of trust and integrity.
Holds meetings with relevant members of the project / site team and seeks actively feedback (e.g. team members, manager)
Cooperates closely with Project Managers, Site Management and the wider project team (including planners etc)
Providing support to the legal team by substantiating the relevant facts (cause and effect) necessary to demonstrate entitlement to quantum and/or time, establishing the required factual defences in view of arbitration or ADR
Ensures efficient communication with all relevant internal stakeholders, i.e. Planning, Quality Management, EHS, suppliers, consortium partners
Supports Procurement and Logistics, if applicable
Actively gathers information on Supply Chain, strategies, requirements, and targets regarding commercial aspects
Actively builds relationships to with Supplier’s commercial management
Regularly participates in lessons learnt in relation to the supply chain conditions of contract
Identifying relevant contractual aspects for developing and implementing project-specific claim strategies
Developing and improving further contract and claim management processes
