Silverstripe Looking for IT Systems Administrator at Wellington, Wellington Region, New Zealand Full Time

As a digital solutions provider, our internal systems and tools are essential to our success. In this role you will be responsible for making sure our people have access to the IT systems they need when they need them, and those systems are well maintained and documented. We’re a security-minded business, the role of our IT Systems Administrator is an important part of ensuring that our information security processes are carried out.

You will have a lot of variety in this role, with responsibilities including systems ownership and configuration, device management and machine provisioning, solution maintenance and documentation. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside our security team, implementing security measures for the business and responding to incidents as required. As our IT Systems Administrator, you will interact with everybody in our business as you deliver excellent customer service in the process of responding to internal IT support requests.

Requirements

We’re looking for people who are:

• Passionate about maintaining IT systems and new developments in technology
• Passionate about providing best practice customer service
• Passionate about maintaining a secure technical environment for our business
• Technically sound and have solid analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail
• Exceptional communicators, both oral and written, with solid interpersonal skills
• Enthusiastic problem solvers and have a “I’ve got this” attitude

What skills and experience are we looking for?

• 3+ years of experience in systems administration or a proven ability to support internal staff and internal systems
• Desktop support experience: Windows, Mac OS, VoIP/Telephony, Printers etc
• Mobile device support e.g. Android, Apple
• Knowledge of: Video conferencing solutions; VoIP systems; Google Workspace
• Managing end-user devices configuration and security (EDR)
• Service Desk and System Owner experience
• Knowledge of system security practices.
