Skyways Looking for Software Engineer internship at Austin, TX Full Time

At Skyways we are building a new form of air transportation. Some people call it the flying car. We believe fully autonomous unmanned aerial vehicles represent a unique opportunity to move things and ultimately people in new, more efficient ways. Responsibilities

• Build a flight log parser that can ingest large amounts of flight data and look for specific signals for preventative maintenance
• – Scope the project with the help of the team, collect requirements
• – Produce a trade study, followed by a design doc for a first version
• – Build the system end-to-end and test it with existing flight logs
• – Deploy to production backend (includes some amount of frontend work)
• – Rinse and repeat to improve on the previous version
• Collaborate/communicate with engineering and flight testing

Requirements

• BSc. or MSc. student in CS, EE, CE, or related fields
• Experience programming
• Curious and willing to learn
• Drive to deliver results
• Must be an awesome and friendly individual
• Bonus points if you have experience with drones/aviation
