Overview
As part of the Regulatory Reporting team, manages all aspects of regulatory report analytics by providing required report analytics to various stakeholders within the Bank and subsidiaries. Advises various stakeholders on regulatory implications of day-to-day variations in the report and works with regulators to manage future regulatory developments and interpretations of the report.
Reports to the manager of regulatory report analysis. This position is for a subject matter expert with full knowledge of day-to-day reporting activities of regulatory reporting and requires input on complex issues in daily report analytics process. Primary focus is on the execution of day-to-day operations, with occasional contribution to broader planning within the area of expertise and is to be performed according to the prescribed FRB report instructions of regulatory reports.
Responsibilities
Partners with senior members of the Regulatory Reporting Department, supports regulatory report analytics process.
Ensures that analysis is performed and completed accurately and on a timely manner.
Generates and reviews audit trail for reconciliation and variance analysis of regulatory report with detailed comments and explanations of the significant breaches.
Participates and represents regulatory reporting team in bank examinations and internal and external audits.
Provides guidance and training to the new staff related to regulatory report analytics.
Responsible for updating the policy and procedures.
Conducts research and remains current on relevant industry initiatives, regulatory report changes that impact the Bank’s reporting.
Supports all regulatory reporting ad hoc projects and change process testing for the report.
Qualifications
Functional knowledge of FRB regulatory reporting.
Knowledge of major financial products, including derivatives.
Working knowledge of the Banking businesses and the related financials.
Ability to develop and manage relationships with regulators.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills; high level of deadline-driven sense of urgency; attention to details, accuracy and accountability.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
