Front Desk Receptionist
Holistic dental office in Pinehurst, NC is looking to hire a take-charge decision-make Front Office Receptionist to start immediately. This is the perfect opportunity for the right person looking to make a positive impact on our community. Prior experience in dental PREFERRED. Passion for holistic and functional medicine is a MUST.
Your responsibilities will include welcoming patients, visitors in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries; insurance verification and filings; email and text correspondences.
Excellent customer service is required, providing exceptional care for patients and visitors. As a front office receptionist and scheduler, you will be required to optimize patients’ satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by phone. You will be expected to review service delivery compared to schedule and remind provider of any service delays. You are also required to build a very strong knowledge on therapeutic approaches to medical and dental care for patients. Training will be provided.
-Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
-Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
-Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information; recording and collecting patient charges; controlling credit extended to patients; filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims.
-Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; scheduling equipment service and repairs.
-Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies.
-Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
-Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
-Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
-Help clean the office and treatment rooms if needed.
-Review patient chart prior to doctor arrival and log appropriate patient data during exam and treatment as well as transcribe doctor notes in patient chart.
-Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance
-Follow organizations safety policies and procedures
-Have knowledge and understanding of medical/dental terminology sufficient to perform job successfully
-Maintain a full schedule of patients daily
-Support the office staff members by fulfilling patient care responsibilities
-Check and respond to voicemails and emails left for the office.
Education/Certification(s)
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required
Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR- BLS) preferred
*All advanced training will be provided. This is the perfect position for someone who is eager to grow and truly build a long-term relationship with patients.
