Sodexo is currently seeking a Full Time Food Service Operations Manager to potentially join our team at the US Marine Corps Team at Mess Hall RR135 Stones Bay , North Carolina. Our Mess Hall RR135 location at Stones Bay, and is part of the United Stattes Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune Installation that trains the special forces/MARSOC marines. The USMC’s mission is to recruit, train, sustain, and deploy scalable, expeditionary forces worldwide to accomplish special operations To accomplish that, they equip and train Marines to succeed in austere conditions against a wide range of adversaries. Mess Hall RR135 feeds approximately 7,000-9,000 meals per week. Mess Hall RR135 Unit is located at 135 Rifle Range Rd., Stones Bay N.C. 28445

The ideal candidate:

• has a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively;

• has culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;

• has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;

• can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and

• is experienced with menu planning & forecasting processes, and understanding of safe food handling practices, qualities, and standards (e.g. HACCP forms, temperature logs, safety audits, inventory management, etc.)

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement – Associate’s Degreeor equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience – 2 years

Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
