Sonder is looking for a Sales Analyst to join the team. This analyst will sit within the Data and Analytics org and focus specifically on Sales Operations. They will be responsible for driving analytics and insights across Sales – responsibilities include (but not limited to) creating and improving sales reporting across multiple channels, systems, and data sources, developing and managing account performance reporting, sales team member booking performance analysis, developing analytical models for segment analysis, ad-hoc analysis to measure and improve the performance of the sales business, and discovering patterns, insights, and opportunities that will ultimately drive strategic decisions across the Sonder Sales organization.

As part of the Data & Analytics team, this candidate will use a variety of data sources to build tools and answer questions that drive key business decisions for the Sales Ops team. At Sonder You Will

• Deeply understand the sales operations process and systems, and partner closely with the Sales Operations and Engineering stakeholders as well as other Analysts, Data PMs, and BI Engineers within Sonder to integrate systems and data sources, and build good sales ops tracking
• Analyze data, create reports, and communicate insights on sales performance and trends in a clear concise manner to business stakeholders
• Develop, document, and maintain sales reporting rules and requirements related to teams, individuals, & accounts
• Formulate success metrics to track and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of sales operations, and provide analytical support for goal setting, goal tracking, and related commission program reporting
• Support leadership with model development and analysis on potential territories and segments to help identify and create go-to-market strategies
• Monitor and maintain data quality while providing technical support on data-driven processes
• Work closely with sales management and tech teams to understand business needs in order to identify, develop, and implement enhancements to reporting and analytical deliverables
• Proactively dig into data and identify opportunities to drive the business forward

What We Look For

• Results-oriented individual with ability to identify dependencies, and leverage multiple sources of information at once
• Minimum 3 years successfully working in sales operations or analytics team at a public or high growth start-up
• Technical expertise in SQL and Excel/Google Sheets required.
• Experience using data visualization tools & building reports in systems such as Tableau/Power BI, Metabase & Seekwell is required
• Established track record of building sales reporting requirements and translating them into actionable insights and information, as well as making solid and clear recommendations to business leaders.
• Proven experience creating new efficient & effective reports, and reporting processes in a complex environment.
• Solid financial acumen; understand how the team’s goals support the organization’s financial goals.
• Incredible balance of left & right brain; extremely organized and extremely communicative.
• Strong consultative and influencing skills, and the ability to explain complex ideas clearly to a non-technical audience to help leaders make decisions and move the business forward
• Passion, positivity, and an ability to flex with a growing organization!
• Intellectually curious and excited to roll up your sleeve to learn new things
• Understanding of sales, hospitality reservations, and understanding of complex inventory models (multi-bedroom, apartments, hotels) is a plus
