Information about our school:

• We are a large (three-form-entry) primary school situated in the city centre of Southampton.
• We serve a diverse community with almost three-quarters of our pupils speaking English as an additional language.
• In Spring 2022, we welcomed a new headteacher with a newly established senior team.

The successful applicant will:

• Have a passion for learning that will inspire and motivate pupils
• Be confident in a classroom environment
• Assist in the support of an SEN pupil
• Have good literacy and numeracy skills

The position involves:

• Working closely with teachers to raise standards and help each pupil make good progress
• Working with individuals and groups of children both in and outside of the classroom, under the direction of a teacher or SENCo
• Running intervention programmes for groups or individual children
• Supporting class teachers with classroom management issues e.g. setting up activities, clearing away materials, preparing resources, mounting and displaying children’s work.
