Sovrn Looking for Front End Engineer I at Boulder, CO Full Time

We are looking for a front-end developer to work with the Creative Team. You will be embedded in the Platform Engineering team, attend the necessary ceremonies, and be mentored by members of that group.

About The Job

As a Front-End Engineer, your workload will be focused on the front-end maintenance, upgrading, and overall look and feel of the Sovrn Platform. Further to that, you will update and maintain the WordPress marketing website and the SalesForce knowledge base.

What you’ll be doing:

• Create and maintain digital assets, such as common components, interface design files, wireframes, and interactive mockups using Figma.
• Design, build, and maintain highly reusable JavaScript, HTML, and CSS code.
• Understand the limitations of our tech stack and business model and provide technical advice wherever necessary.
• MUI Component Library
• Own, maintain, and update the Material-UI (MUI) component library.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure consistency and functionality in all user interfaces.
• Debug and resolve issues in the Sovrn component library, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
• Work across the entire Sovrn Platform, including all micro front ends, updating and debugging all components
• Owning, updating, managing, and debugging the MUI component library across all products and all micro-apps
• Front-End Development
• Create, implement, and maintain responsive and user-friendly front-end designs using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Ensure that all web properties maintain a consistent and cohesive design language.
• Collaborate with the creative director and design team to develop and refine user interfaces.
• Quality Assurance
• Conduct testing and debugging to ensure cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility.
• Identify and rectify issues related to performance, responsiveness, and usability.

About You

You will be a natural at understanding human-computer interaction design (HCID), coming up with elegant solutions to improve our application, and developing in React.

You must be passionate about improving user experience (UX design) and how user interfaces (UI) are constructed to create seamless experiences. You will work closely with our design, product, and engineering teams to ensure a cohesive and visually appealing user experience across the Sovrn Platform and suite of digital properties.

The successful candidate will have:

• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end development best practices.
• Experience with Material-UI or similar component libraries.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and troubleshoot issues.
• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for design aesthetics.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team environment.
• A portfolio that demonstrates both React proficiency and an understanding of solid design principles (plugins, node packages, etc.).
• Expert knowledge of CSS, CSS extension languages (Less, Sass), and CSS preprocessor tools.
• Proficiency using Git version control.
• React or similar frameworks, MUI or similar react component libraries, Webpack or similar bundlers, D3.js or similar charting libraries

Bonus Points

• Proficiency in designing interfaces and building clickable prototypes using Figma.
• Video creation and editing
• Web-based motion graphics (ex: Lottie)
• Familiarity with SalesForce

Compensation And Benefits

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate compensation range for this role in Boulder, Colorado is $70,000 to $85,000, including base salary and any related bonuses or commissions. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills and certifications.
