The Role: Supplier Relations Manager
The Grade/Level: 5 (relevant for internal applicants only)
The Location: Mexico – remote
Reports To: The Director of Parts Content & Technical Solutions who reports to the Global Operations Director/Executive Director of Engineering & Product Design.
Vertical Focus: Auto, Aerospace and Defense, Industrial and Manufacturing, Medical, Oil and Gas, High Tech.
The Impact:
You will deepen our existing partnership engagements with manufacturers and build new partnerships to help differentiate S&P Global as a premier partner and industry leader. Working directly with senior executives and leaders across the business, you will engage with electronic component manufacturers and suppliers, share our value proposition and content strategy, and expand our content sharing engagements. Additionally, you will gain experience working with diverse, cross-functional internal teams.
Responsibilities:
Interact with manufacturers and suppliers to understand their goals and explain the value delivered by S&P Global Engineering Solutions.
Drive greater content sourcing engagements within our existing partnered suppliers and create new partnerships with our manufacturers to drive data acquisition projects.
Build relationships based on trust, honesty, respect, transparency and mutual advantage.
Collaborate with internal departments and direct sourcing teams to understand content gaps, technical data we collect and requirements.
Maintain progress of our syndication programs with manufacturers, understand existing data engagements, prioritization, and initiate new data acquisition processes.
Summarize sourcing data opportunities, develop engagement strategies and provide insights which add value to content strategy and operations.
Prioritize and manage projects to ensure key milestones are achieved.
Keep accurate notes and follow up to ensure promises are kept.
Organize and deliver meaningful business review meetings with performance data that adds value and usage insights which support our content strategy and operations.
Resolve issues with existing processes, and proactively work across the business to improve processes and insure smooth content delivery
Create mapping documentation for syndication files, and update documentation when changes occur.
What We’re Looking For:
To succeed in this position, you should be a self-starter with follow up skills to complete engagements, be able to build rapport and company partnerships. The role requires resourcefulness, adaptability, analytical skills and a high degree of organization.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree. Engineering, Business, or Marketing preferred. Will look at other degrees with experience in engineering, component distribution or similar field.
Ability to develop relationships, drive outcomes and influence decisions with individuals across all organizational levels
Excellent active listening and interpersonal skills
Results oriented with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task under pressure.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with ability to ingest and present complex information
Must be highly organized yet extremely adaptable with excellent follow up skills
Create reports and presentations targeted for various levels of management
Ability to build rapport and collaborate with colleagues and across the organization
Work remotely with a track record for exceeding expectations
Opportunity to work with XML, HTML & API files, as well as SQL.
Electronic components and/or engineering acumen required
