They design, manufacture, and install high quality bespoke products for both private and commercial customers. The company is experiencing continued growth due to the high demand for their design, manufacturing, and installation expertise.

Role overview:

Reporting directly to the Head of Design & Project Management you will look to support the team on the design of bespoke products and solutions for commercial and private customers. You will also support as and when necessary, off-site scanning and measurements as well as overseeing specific elements of the manufacture and end installation of the product.

Duties and Responsibilities:
General

• Attendance at weekly design meeting to ensure your support the department KPI’s and assisting on interdepartmental queries and/or actions

• Interact and communicate effectively with manufacturing and installation teams as well as customers.

• Provide regular updates to Head of Design on project progress as well as help in trouble shooting design challenges.

Design & Quality

• Ensuring you design from a fabricator’s perspective for efficient production and installation while adhering to building and quality control regulations

• Submit design proposals to Head of Design for sign off.

• Look to work through a culture of continuous improvement

• Maintaining strict quality and document control procedures through design lifecycle

• Assisting Head of Design on pricing and estimates before submittal to client

• Attending client and site meetings as required

• Ensure design and overall timeline is managed correctly to avoid under or over commitment

Skills and Experience

· A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline or 5+ years within Fabrication and design

· 2+ years’ experience within structural design or general engineering design

· Experience of working with standard design systems and programmes including 2D and 3D

· Strong organisational skills

· Ability to interact with a wide range of workers and professionals to achieve set goals

· An appreciation for health and safety and challenges faced by field installation and fabrication teams

· Self-motivated and desires to build a career within engineering and design in Ireland

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Permanent

Salary: €35,000.00-€55,000.00 per year
