As a Software Engineer at Sportsbet, you will take ownership of development and problem resolution in Java, Node, cloud infrastructure, domain modelling and event driven architecture and work together with a dedicated team to solve issues and deliver solutions. You will also be responsible for testing, monitoring and maintaining operations and performance of these solutions. The team:

The Customer Experience Team is the foundation for all things “customer” within the Sportsbet app, as well as partners with our Martech teams, to deliver the best experiences for our customers . You will be working in a cross-functional Agile team of capabilities responsible for delivering the exciting features and products for Sportsbet customers across multiple online platforms. The role:

You are self-starting and passionate about working with our Martech stakeholders to build and deliver amazing customer experiences through our mobile apps and website. You will play an important role in ensuring our platforms continually meet the current and future needs of Sportsbet.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrated and detailed experience in application development using Java 8+, Kotlin and/or NodeJS 6+, Python
• Experience in developing AWS cloud services and having an understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability
• Familiarity with CI/CD methodologies and tools such as Jenkins
• Experience in engineering practices such as design-driven development, application security and developing highly scalable applications
• Experience with Docker and managing a container based micro-service architecture
• A strong focus on unit testing, integration testing and automation
• Willing to adapt, mentor & share knowledge within & across functional practices
• Passion for putting the customer at the heart of every decision
