ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In order to deliver our service, products and company values to our customers, all associates
(employees) are expected to understand and undertake the following tasks and responsibilities
during the course of your employment in your current role.
Customer Service: At St Pierres we pride ourselves on exemplary customer service. You will be required to uphold our principles
and values when dealing with customers at all times.
Training and guidance will be given to all employees.
Food Preparation: You will be required to learn and participate in the preparation and presentation of food to a high standard. Please
follow the managers instructions closely. This will most likely involve use of machinery, and knife handling.
Maintenance: You will be required to maintain equipment and facility in the premise to be ready for use before starting cooking and
report to senior kitchen staff if you find them in a poor state.
Cooking: You will be involved in all stages of cooking, including cooking all types of ingredients (e.g. vegetables, meat, poultry,
seafood) in a prescribed manner and handling cooking equipment and tools under the supervision of senior cooking staff.
Food Safety Program / Food Control Program: It is your duty to help keep the shop kitchen (food preparation areas, utensils, dishes,
tools), shop front, dining area, bathrooms, exterior, and any other surrounding areas, in clean and hygienic conditions. Follow your
managers instructions, and cleaning schedules and procedures. You may be required by MPI (Ministry of Primarily Industry) to
understand essential food handling procedures prior to commencing work in your workplace.
Promotion: You will undertake to help the business to promote its goods and services by giving samples, vouchers, suggestive
selling or other promotions organized.
Teamwork Training: You will be required to involve yourself and work as a team, under the guidance of your management.
This will also include helping buddy train new employees, or other staff as required. You will be required to attend and contribute
to any necessary staff meetings when required.

Incoming goods: You may be required to receive and check incoming goods from the companys suppliers. In all situations, you
will act professional and courteous.
Stock Monitoring: It is your duty to assist senior kitchen staff in maintaining a proper stock level. You will be required to check the
quality and quantity of ingredients and report to senior staff if the stock is running out.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
CONSTANT IMPROVEMENT: In all areas of your job, it is important you do your best on a daily basis, and strive to improve the
quality of workmanship and productivity. This will be important in your Performance Review.
NOTE: CHANGES TO THE DESCRIPTION: As with any progressing business, from time to time the descriptions may need to be
amended to keep up with industry standards, and the changing business environment. You agree to such amendments as deemed
reasonable and necessary by the company.
This is a permanent full-time position. (over 35 hours per week) however your hours and days of work may vary, so applicants must
be reasonably flexible with time.
