Job Description
To regularly monitor the custody system for trade processing activity, conduct reconciliations, investigations and static data uploads, while identifying areas for improvement and actioning these. Process trade documents and instructions to ensure that Transitions received are actioned within the agreed timelines, providing effective communication to clients to ensure that high Standards of Client service are maintained at all times and that losses, complaints and error rates are minimal.

- Secondary School level with Business Commerce
- Or 5 GCSE’s with minimum grade C in both Maths and English Language
- Desirable – Higher Certificate in Business Commerce
Experience
- Operations experience for 1-2 years

Key Outputs
- Assist with the daily processing of trades including chasing, status updates and distribution of all pending and actual failed trade reporting as required. Prepare documents associated with trade settlements as necessary, including cash payments and chase outstanding cash proceeds. Perform other ancillary tasks as required.
- Execute and input instructions into Pershing systems to facilitate transfer or stock movements and successful completion of transfers. Liaise and engage with relevant counterparties to ensure completion in line with expected SLA’s and client expectations..
- Communicate and disseminate information relating to Corporate Events to clients either directly (email or telephone) or via Relationship Managers to provide instruction and facilitate decision making for follow-up action.
- Maintain, analyse and charge custody, management and closing fees. Conduct team review of cash, stock and unit trust reconciliation and ensure appropriate action is being taken on open items.
- Investigate exceptions and follow up on progress, updates and matching to ensure that demands can be activated.
