MIS USER SUPPORT
The Steamship Authority is seeking qualified applicants for the full-time, permanent, non-union position of MIS User Support at the Administrative Office Building in Falmouth, MA.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Provide front line telephone technical support.
* Responsible for level 1 and 2 support (hardware and software) by direct assistance to all users. Refer issues which require additional support to the department’s HELPDESK.
* Assist users with security and system access.
* Maintain various logs and schedules for the IT department.
* Procure IT related equipment and items for the entire organization.
* Receive inventory and enter details into the department’s inventory management system.
* Manage support contract renewals.
* Manage supplies.
* Prepare invoices and purchase orders for review.
* Requires working and communicating with all levels of users from all departments.
* Work with various consultants and vendors for problem reporting and solutions.
* Assist with Steamship Authority’s cell phone activations and deactivations.
*Ability to meet deadlines, work independently within a team environment.
* Perform other duties as required by supervisor.
* Must be available during emergency events as required.
Required Knowledge:
* Must be proficient in use of vacrious computer PC software programs especially Microsoft Office, Microsoft NAV.
* Must have a good understanding of computer components and be able to deal with a variety of user issues relating to components.
* Basic procurement and accounting.
