Sterling Engineering Hiring for Document Specialist Job at Chicago, IL Full Time

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Follow and execute company and/or client required document control procedures, templates, software use, etc. on projects

· Perform routine quality checks on all incoming and outgoing documentation

· Assist with accessing, downloading, and distributing client related project standards

· Timely distribution and routing of latest revision level documentation to all appropriate users

· Maintain and update master drawing lists to include accurate revision status and drawing count (as applicable)

· Collaborate with other Document Controllers and assist with workshare (as needed)

· Create or assist in creation of project data books (as applicable)

· Provide training to Project Managers and project teams on proper document control procedures, filing techniques, etc. at the project level

· Maintain a collaborative spirit in working with coworkers

· Respond to or follow up on all client communications in a timely manner

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent prior work experience

· Highly motivated, self-directed individual able to work independently and with minimal supervision

· Proactive approach to communication, follow ups and daily task work

· Effective written and oral communication skills, with tact and diplomacy

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
