Medical Records Specialist, Revenue Cycle

This position is responsible for providing administrative support, enterprise wide, to all Strive Health clinical markets related to medical records documentation and the processing of physical mail/correspondence.

Essential Functions

• Provide administrative support, enterprise wide, to all Strive Health clinical markets to retrieve medical records documentation and prepare medical records for completion.
• Conducting medical records review and ensuring medical records completion.
• Gathering needed information and updating the patient’s Electronic Health Record.
• Intercept, prepare, and track Strive Health physical mail enterprise wide.
• Process RCM remittance; track and upload information for payment posting and billing follow-up activities.
• Intercept Release of Information requests, track, and process requests according to Release of Information process. Safeguarding patient records and ensuring HIPAA Compliance.
• Process additional information requests, records review, and conduct other support functions for multi-disciplinary departments as indicated.
• Provide RCM phone coverage.
• Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Office, Word, etc)
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school Diploma
• Minimum of three (3) years’ service in a Revenue Cycle Management role with significant experience in Mid-Cycle Health Information Management related tasks, duties, and responsibilities.
• Business travel

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Health Information Management with RHIT credential; or active Revenue Cycle Credential such as CRCR or CPB
• Patient Billing/Payment coordination experience a plus.
• Experience in a startup, renal care or Value-Based Care environment
• The ideal candidate in this role will have excellent customer service skills.
• Mature written and/or verbal communication, analytical skills and demonstrate ability to think critically and operate autonomously.
• Proven ability to be successful in an autonomous work environment.
• Skilled in all Microsoft Office Applications.
