We are seeking a Patient Care Tech for our (MPU) Medical Pulmonary Unit to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. Under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN), the PCT assists the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the PCT’s skills/training and the needs of the Department, and consistently assists the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment. The PCT complies with all hospital policies/procedures and observes the State Board of Nursing rules for licensed personnel.
Department: MPU (Medical Pulmonary Unit): 36 bed unit with focus on pulmonary and respiratory diagnoses, included but not limited to: COPD and asthma exacerbations, pneumonia, TB, infections and ailments of the pulmonary system. Patients with stable tracheostomies
Charge Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Unit Clerks all working to support in each other, working together in providing each patient quality care.
