Junior Full Stack Developer

• Location: Belcamp, MD
• Security Clearance: Active Clearance or Eligible to Obtain – U.S. citizenship required
• Salary: $85,000 – $100,000

Position Summary

SURVICE Engineering is currently seeking a Junior Full Stack Developer to support our DoD IAC team. You will accelerate your career and become an integral team member within the defense community.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Critically analyzing and integrating software requirements into applications
• Planning with UI/UX designers to help produce wireframes, storyboards, and UI flow charts
• Working with a project manager to set deadlines and evaluate progress
• Writing efficient code using standard practices
• Works collaboratively with other IAC team members, IT team members, and the product team as part of an Agile Development process
• Comfortable working with multiple programming languages
• Writes and delivers complex code and modules for new features and debugs existing code and modules
• Aggressive problem diagnosis, troubleshooting, and creative problem solving skills.
• Maintaining software documentation, changelogs, and user guides
• Implementing CI/CD and continuously improving upon the applications
• Responding to software change requests (SCR) and performing a security impact assessment.
• Deploying code to development and production environments.
• Documenting information, experiences, and lessons-learned to increase efficiency of the software development processes.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline. This is an entry level position.

Desired Experience

• 1-3 years of experience with structured database management systems such as SQL or mySQL
• 1-3 years of experience with modern programming languages such as Java, Python, PHP or JavaScript, Typescript, Node.js
• 1 to 3 years of experience working with and implementing APIs such as REST or SOAP
• 1 to 3 years of experience with modern front-end technologies such as Angular, React or Vue
• 1 to 3 years of experience with webpage programming with HTML and CSS
