What does a Creative Activation Manager do at Swire Coca-Cola?

The Creative Activation Manager will work as a part of the Shopper Marketing Team in tandem with cross functional partners to develop customer specific Shopper Marketing programming. Generates concepts for effective executions of Shopper Marketing programs and objectives (e.g. drive trial, build baskets, increase conversion). Serves as primary creative interface for internal and external agencies. Manages programs after concept approval through development to release of final art.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develops programming materials (POS, merchandising pieces, digital) for specific customer portfolio. Programs include new/sustaining programs as well as tailored national programs.
• Manages agencies to take projects after concept approval, to release of final art. Ability to critique creative development against set success criteria.
• Acts as subject matter expert to ensure all custom POS, packaging, coupons etc, protect the company’s rights, trademarks and investment while serving the best interest of our customers and assets.
• Manages project and agency creative budgets.
• Serves as primary creative interface for internal and external agencies.
• Develops and communicates written briefs for creative development to be used by internal or external agencies to direct their work activities in order to generate concepts for effective execution of shopper marketing programs and objectives (e.g. drive trial, trip conversion, build baskets, etc.).
• Manage POS ordering and tracking.
• Manages Legal and brand approvals from all appropriate parties.
• Seeks out innovative merchandising techniques through research, insights or field input and collaborates with Commercial to provide best in class execution.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years marketing experience, preferably within the consumer goods/beverages industry
• Proven ability to collaborate with system, customers and other stakeholders.
• Experience in the development of marketing and commercial programs.
• Understanding of promotional activities, product lines and competitive positioning.
• Effective leadership and coaching skills.
• Must possess the ability to think strategically and can improve the Organization’s performance within the assigned segment of business.
• Excellent written communication and speaking/presentation skills.
• Knowledge of brand strategy and application across channel, including local marketing.
• Knowledge of key consumption occasions, shopper messaging, and methods of activation.
• Knowledge of strategic alignment between local/global properties and brand strategy.
• Knowledge of an ability to use strategic thinking skills and to integrate brand and shopper strategies into the core creative idea.
• Knowledge of methods or techniques used and ability to inspire agency performance.
• Knowledge of the creative brief development process.
• Knowledge of consumer purchasing behavior to develop effective programs.
• Proven track record of achieving sustainable sales-driven results.
• Exceptional organizational skills, detail-oriented & excellent follow-through.
• Creative & proactive thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Enthusiasm for working independently & as a member of high-functioning team.
