What does a FSOP – Channel Specialist do at Swire Coca-Cola?

The Food Service on Premise (FSOP) Channel Specialist will work as a part of the FSOP Commercial Channel team, in tandem with cross functional partners, to develop assigned FSOP channel-specific programming (i.e: Lodging, Gaming, Education, Airports, Eating/Drinking, etc.). You will also create annual calendar of sustaining programs and periodic promotions for effective execution in-outlets, to support FSOP metrics (gain new outlets, drive incidence, volume, revenue & profit). You will ensure all programming aligns with Brand, Innovation, Commercial & FSOP Channel Strategies. Supports FSOP sales teams on Asset programs that align under the assigned channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop programming materials (POS, merchandising pieces, digital programs) in collaboration with FSOP Channel Managers for specific assigned channels. Programs include new/sustaining programs as well as tailored national programs.
  • Develops and communicates sustaining toolkits and channel programs with the FSOP Sales Teams.
  • Serve as the Subject matter expert to assist with overall program development, POS creative, rules creation and in-venue tools that fall under the sub-channels supported.
  • Acts as subject matter expert to ensure all custom POS, packaging, coupons etc., protect the company’s rights, trademarks and investment while serving the best interest of our customers and assets.
  • Stewards POS materials, manages customization processes and routines, protects brand standards and trademark integrity, utilizes Brand Company agencies/resources (Coke Channel, DMeX, Merkle, etc.), ensures customer/partner/brand approvals.
  • Other tasks as assigned per company needs.

Requirements:

  • Preferred Level: Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Marketing or Communications
  • Minimum Required: High School Diploma with relevant business experience
  • 3+ years of experience working with customers (retail and/or FSOP) in marketing/sales role
  • Proven ability to collaborate with system, customers and other stakeholders
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) as well as Swire SharePoint, Margin Minder & Power BI
  • Understanding of promotional activities, product lines and competitive positioning
  • Effective leadership and coaching skills
  • Excellent written communication and speaking/presentation skills
  • Knowledge of brand strategy and application across channel, including local marketing
  • Knowledge of key consumption occasions, shopper messaging, and methods of activation
  • Experience in the development of marketing and commercial programs
  • Experience calling on customers (Retail or FSOP – closing the sale and increasing revenue)
  • Ability to collaborate at high levels within internal and external organizations
  • Proven track record of achieving sustainable results
  • Exceptional organizational skills, detail-oriented & excellent follow-through
  • Creative & proactive thinking and problem solving abilities
  • Enthusiasm for working independently & as a member of high-functioning team
  • May be required to occasionally lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to occasionally drive personal vehicles for work
  • Some business travel required, approximately 10%
