Our mission is to open doors to places people will love that they might not have found on their own, extraordinary places that reflect the beauty and diversity of the world. Our team believes that travel brings people of all backgrounds together. Our hotels provide an unforgettable backdrop for that union.
Headquartered in New York City, we operate in eight languages, with thousands of incredible hotels located in over a hundred different countries. And if you really want to take it to the next level, our Tablet Plus Travel Club provides VIP upgrades and amenities at hundreds of our properties.
Junior Backend Engineer
Tablet Hotels is an internationally used platform featuring thousands of curated hotels around the world. While maintaining core Tablet Hotels products our team also leads design and development for the MICHELIN Guide. We’re a small company offering high impact opportunities as we influence the digital transformation of the Michelin Experiences group (gastronomy and travel).
Our Backend team is focused on supporting and expanding the functionality of our booking engine, payment processing, and inventory management system which are used by both Michelin and Tablet. You’ll report to our Lead Backend Engineer and sit with a diverse and growing team of developers. We’re a flat team offering ownership, autonomy, and personal collaboration with all teams throughout the organization including product, marketing, sales, distribution, and others.
We’re building the next version of our backend infrastructure in order to meet the demands of a widening global audience for two brands across multiple web and mobile experiences. Additionally, we’re developing new community-focused user features, integrating with 3rd parties to better engage with our customers, and continuously working on product enhancements for both consumer and business.
We are a flat organization where even the executive team operates as hands-on peers. If you’re self-directed, self-motivated, and do better work when you’re trusted with a healthy amount of freedom and flexibility we may be an excellent fit. This is a hybrid role requiring two days per week in our New York City office.
