Sales (IC) Associate Representative – Inbound/Outbound Calls

Address: 100% remote

Hours: Must be available to work 8 hours daily: 7 days a week 7:00am to 10:00pm CST with a possible rotating schedule. 40-hour work week, no overtime needed. 5 days of work; 2 days off.

Pay: $20.00/hour paid every Friday + commission paid monthly (see bottom of job description for commission structure)

Contract Length: 06/06/2022 to 12/09/2022 (AEP season only, could lead to other opportunities)

License requirement: Life and Health Insurance License in your residential state

Overview:

• Responsible for generating new membership into a Cigna Medicare Plan during the Annual Enrollment Period October 15th – December 7th on the merits and benefits of the plans, including provisions of care and how they address the needs of Medicare beneficiaries.

• You will develop leads through inbound calls, and you will enroll customers directly over the phone.

• This role will adhere to the Federal and State regulations governing the representation and sale of Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplemental and Prescription Drug Plans.

Schedule Notes:

• Agents must be available to work 8 hours daily: 7 days a week 7:00am to 10:00pm Central time zone with a possible rotating schedule.

• Training will be 8 hours per day Monday-Friday within Central time zone.

• Candidates must be available for the week of Thanksgiving including November 25, 2022.

• Due to the nature of the job role, candidates will not be granted more than 2 consecutive scheduled days off.

Here’s a little more about what you’ll do:

• Handle inbound calls with the goal of telephonic enrollment once customer confirms eligibility and willingness to do so, after presenting all benefits and services of the appropriate plan.

• Manage a book of leads, which includes conducting multiple outbound calls to unsold leads in order to convert them to sales

• Enter and track all leads in the Cigna Medicare contact management system and follow up on those leads in a timely manner, providing accurate dispositions of leads with follow-up information

• Participate in assigned sales team events and special projects, including out-bound calls to supplied leads

• Provide feedback and guidance on market changes, marketing campaigns, plan operations, and delivery system issues.

• Must be able to attend the entire duration of the training sessions June/July/August through September 2022 contingent on hire date

What you should have:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays and commit to and adhere to a phone schedule and shift. Standard shifts are anywhere between 7:00am and 10:00pm and are subject to change based on staffing needs.

• Excellent customer focused phone skills to create rapport, express complex medical services and adhere to strict call scripting, policy, and procedures.

• Excellent oral and presentation communication skills. Outstanding listening skills and the ability to probe, then link features of the plan to customer needs.

• Must possess solid time management skills and the ability to prioritize assignments in order to maximize sales opportunities.

• Ability to exercise independent judgment within established company guidelines.

• Must possess strong attention to detail and excellent computer skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite with excellent Word skills required; proprietary contact management system (Salesforce) experience preferred.

• 2+ years successful direct to consumer sales experience preferred

• Experience interacting with the senior population preferred

• Experience in developing self-generated business preferred

• Life and Health Insurance license for the state you reside in.

Commission Structure:

Employee will be selling Medicare Advantage (MAPD) and Prescription Drug (PDP) plan enrollments focusing on new customers across all Cigna-HealthSpring (CHS) markets.

MAPD Enrollments:

Employer agrees to pay Employee at a commission rate of $100.00 per MAPD sale upon enrollment. Employer agrees to pay Employee an additional $25.00 per enrollment for all enrollments lasting beyond a 3-month disenrollment window. Payment per enrollment will be calculated according to the following format:

• $100.00 – Payable upon enrollment (see payment dates on Commission calendar)

• $25.00 – Payable after the rapid disenrollment period

• $125.00 – Total maximum paid for each MAPD enrollment (if not a rapid disenrollment)

PDP Enrollments:

Employer agrees to pay Employee at a commission rate of $20.00 per PDP sale upon enrollment. Employer agrees to pay Employee an additional $5.00 per enrollment for all enrollments lasting beyond a 3-month disenrollment window. Payment per enrollment will be calculated according to the following format:

• $20.00 – Payable upon enrollment (see payment dates on commission calendar)

• $5.00 – Payable after the rapid disenrollment period

• $25.00 – Total maximum paid for each PDP enrollment (if not a rapid disenrollment)

Involved-In Enrollments:

• $25.00 per confirmed home visit that results in a sale

• Employer agrees to pay Employee at a commission rate of $25.00 per Involved-In home visit sale upon enrollment. This commission is a one-time payment and must be executed per the Involved-In commission policies and procedures established by CHS.

• Employer agrees to only recover the full payment made to the Employee in the event that a beneficiary does not become enrolled with CHS (e.g. voided, canceled, rejected or denied applications, or plan changes).

• Employee must follow CMS and Cigna-HealthSpring compliance guidelines and company policies to enroll Medicare beneficiaries in Cigna-HealthSpring product(s). The Employee must comply with applicable state licensure and/or appointment laws.
