Tauranga City Council Looking for Planning Engineer (Waters) at Tauranga, Bay of Plenty Full Time

The purpose of the Planning Engineer role at Tauranga City Council is to provide professional engineering support to the water supply, wastewater and stormwater activities focussed on strategy and planning aspects. The planning engineer is responsible for standard waters projects, which require general knowledge of and experience in waters planning.

This role includes:

• Effectively advocating for waters planning by taking a lead role in representing the interests of Tauranga in the development and review of strategies and plans
• Ensuring strategies remain current and are well aligned with national, regional, and other council direction and strategies
• Ensuring the city’s water infrastructure meets growth demands and adapts to a changing climate, while meeting regulatory and legislative standards as well as community expectations.
• Providing efficient Specialist Technical Support

To be successful, you will have:

• BE (Civil) in a relevant field or equivalent qualification
• Relevant experience with planning water, wastewater, and stormwater systems
