Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi is a vibrant and exciting tertiary education institution which offers a range of programmes from certificates to doctorates across a range of disciplines. 

We are seeking an experienced IT Desktop Engineer to join our busy IT Team.

As a member of a small IT team, you will be specifically responsible for helpdesk and technical support to our staff and users at our Whakatāne, Tāmaki Makaurau and Whangarei campuses. 

To undertake this role the successful applicant will also need to have: 

• A relevant IT diploma qualification OR at least two years equivalent relevant IT experience.
• A minimum of two years IT experience in a helpdesk environment.
• Experience with audio visual equipment and video conferencing. 
• Be able to work unsupervised when working on other sites.
• A full and clean driver’s licence. 

Knowledge of Te Reo Māori and Tikanga Māori to at least a basic level and a willingness and commitment to improve Te Reo Māori competency beyond basic is required.
