Mō te tūranga | About the role

As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will coordinate and support the clinical teams in our Emergency Department – encompassing service delivery, clinical leadership and staff direction to ensure the provision of safe patient care. You will support the Charge Nurse Manager in providing clinical co-ordination and nursing leadership within the Emergency Department at Southland Hospital. This is an opportunity to manage the clinical environment, facilitate staff development and at the same time enhance their management skills. This is a casual position.

We are looking for a positive and confident Senior Registered Nurse who has the drive and enthusiasm to motivate staff and engage them in their clinical development; you will be a respected professional in your own right, and an exceptional team member with strong communication skills.

You Will Also Have

• Extensive clinical experience in the emergency setting
• Current certification relevant to Trauma Nursing and Advanced Life Support
• A c urrent New Zealand Registration and APC.
• A commitment to ongoing development of nursing skills
• You will have achieved/or be working towards Level 3/4 PDRP.
• The ability to work as part of team in a collaborative manner

Utu whānui |Salary range

This role belongs to the Te Whatu Ora/NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between Grade 1 Step 1 ($110,704 p.a. pro-rata) and Grade 1, Step 2 ($117,907) p.a. pro-rata of the Senior Nurse Salary Scale.
