You will be working across the Mental Health and Intellectual Disability inpatient wards by supporting the provision of care in a range of areas. We seek an enthusiastic Mental Health Assistant to join our team on a fulltime basis.
Our Mental Health Assistants are key team members who assist our nursing and allied health staff to ensure an effective and efficient service.

Mōu Ake l About You
We need a full-time Mental Health Assistant to support inpatient staff, you will be working predominately PM and night shifts but you may be required to work other shifts from time to time.
As a Mental Health Assistant you’ll need to have a positive attitude and good communication skills, be able to take direction and work well as part of the team.
Applicants should also note that a full driver’s licence is a requirement for this position.

Utu whānui | Salary range
This role belongs to the PSA Collective Agreement and falls between Step 1 ($53,024 p.a pro rata) and Step 5 ($68,274 p.a. pro rata) of the MHA scale.
