Job Type: Full-time Salary Description $65,000 Description We’re excited to be looking for an Operations Supervisor, 2nd Shift to join our rapidly growing team in Pittsfield, MA. This position provides a unique 4-day work week opportunity, operating Monday – Thursday 3pm to 1:30am. Reporting directly to Director, Warehouse Operations, the Operations Supervisor, 2nd shift will assist in all of duties of warehouse operations and key functions in addition to being responsible for supervising the dedicated team of 2nd shift warehouse associates and providing support to other colleagues in the Warehouse Operations Department. The position will be a collaborator, with the professional ability to ensure both safety and accuracy in all aspects of operations, supervise, guide and instruct the 2nd shift team to support department goals and objectives. They will exercise good judgement and objectivity, serving as a champion for both staff and leadership. The perfect candidate for this role will be someone with strong leadership skills and experience with Operations/Warehouse Management. How will you support the team? Responsible for overall daily/weekly/monthly accomplishment of safety, service, quality, and cost goals. Assists in the planning annual and working budgets to deliver productivity, utilization, CPU and expense objectives relative to outbound operations. Sets/approves/reviews detail daily staff and volume planning to deliver SLA and expense expectations. Perform observations to validate CPH goals and conformance to requirements. Selects and trains new hires in accordance with department SOP’s. Makes decisions during probationary period to keep or release new hires based on performance to goals. Participates in daily planning meetings. Develops detailed receiving staff and volume plan to deliver service and cost objectives. Conducts daily start up meetings. Conducts monthly KPI review meetings with all associates. Conducts monthly supervisor goal status meetings. Participates on the building safety committee/team. Assists in investigating incidents/accidents and works with HR to decide upon fair and consistent corrective action. Leads LEAN, GEMBA, Kaisan, etc. events to drive out waste and improve processes. Sets and communicates vision for inbound operations. Collaborates with Directors and Department Managers to support department goals and objectives. We’re looking for someone with… Minimum High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as supply chain management, logistics, business, or administration is preferred. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or management role is required. Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is preferred. Experience working in a system driven environment, using WMS, LMS, prefererd. Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
