Administrative Assistant Opportunity in Clayton, NC

Job Summary:

We seek a hard-working and reliable Administrative Assistant for the construction office. The Administrative Assistant is the first point of contact as customers come into the office. You greet customers, collect their information, answer any questions, schedule appointments, and notify management upon the arrival of the visitors. Assist with filing permits with the city and county offices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Will assist Office Manager with filing work permits with the town, city and county offices.

• Operate a switchboard/Telephone System

• Receive incoming calls and makes station connections.

• Take and transmit messages.

• Give routine information as requested.

• Process incoming and outgoing mail

• Perform general clerical work as assigned, including typing tasks.

• Direct visitors to the appropriate offices professionally and courteously.

• Work cooperatively and courteously with supervisor and co-workers.

• Maintain various files

Requirements and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Able to work on your feet for 8-hour shifts and lift 30 lbs. regularly.

Basic computer skills for maintaining inventory logs and databases .

Good communication skills

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
