The Ottawa Hospital Looking for Hemodialysis Aide at Ottawa, ON Full Time

Days, including weekends, 8 hour shifts (06:30-14:30, 11:00-19:00).

Basic Requirements

High school diploma;

Community college Health Care Aide Course or equivalent;

Six (6) months recent experience in the delivery of direct patient care (i.e. Nursing Aide, Orderly, PCA, Nursing Assistant and Registered Practical Nurse);

Knowledge of universal blood and body fluid precautions;

Knowledge of proper lifting techniques;

Demonstrates a respectful attitude to patients, the public and colleagues;

Demonstrates ability to work effectively without constant supervision;

Demonstrates ability to co-operate with others in a high stress, busy workplace.

Please Note

If there are no qualified candidates who have 6 months recent direct patient care experience, candidates who are enrolled or have graduated with a diploma or degree from a college or university Health Care related program and meet all of the other qualifications will then be considered.
