Must have general mathematics knowledge. Requires proficiency in record keeping. Must have legible penmanship, experience with filling out billing forms, receipt writing, and billing management. Must be an organized record keeper. Must be able to meet requirements of internal control policies and procedures. Must be able to work with the public in a courteous, professional manner. Must have word processing, data entry and general clerical skills. Must have the capability for or be familiar with Computerized Accounting Software and Microsoft Office products.

REPORTS TO: Finance Manager

SUPERVISION & AUTHORITY: Has no supervision of other employees.

DUTIES & SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Employee must be knowledgeable and able to operate Computer based Accounts Payable Computer program such as Great Plains. Employee is specifically responsible for the following items in accordance with the Accounts Payable manual:

FILING

Will be responsible to file all documents for Accounts Payable and income, invoices,

batch maintenance and reports. Maintain vendor records, files and computer vendor records and files.

GENERAL ACCOUNTING

General accounting duties may be assigned at any time to assist with submitting reports on a timely basis or to assist the Finance Manager with business priorities and financial reports that may be needed on a periodic basis.

SUPERVISION AND AUTHORITY

All accounting responsibilities are under supervision of the Finance Manager who will monitor data for accuracy and adherence to policies and procedures of The Salvation Army. The employee has no responsibility for supervision of other employees. The employee is responsible to work as a part of a concise team within the finance department.
