What you’ll do
As the Key Account Manager for (A Shyft Group Brand) based at our facility in , you will be accountable for creating and managing high-trust business relationships with key decision makers within your appointed OEM account(s).
Your primary focus will be to develop relationships with OEM teams to drive sales growth and deliver new business on time. In addition, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing effective strategies that will increase top line revenue and increase net operating income.
You will also:
Build relationships with all key decision-makers within appointed accounts
Generate, develop, and implement value-added business
Understand your accounts’ cultures, product portfolios, competitive positions, financial states, and org structures
Assist in managing and implementing business development plans, sales forecasts, and strategies
Engage and monitor account-related market trends
Function as the primary liaison between Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, and Production and your account
Coordinate and facilitate all meetings including date and time, who to include, agenda development, keeping minutes, following up, and create an action plan
Help develop and communicate innovative product ideas to OEMs
Negotiate pricing and contracts that are profitable for your account and Spartan
Generate a biweekly report that tracks your work
Maintain all expenses as they pertain to your appointed account

What you need to be successful
Bachelor’s Degree
7 + years of related sales or account management experience
Seasoned negotiation, project, and account management skills
Strong understanding of target market and product
Sales experience and/or account management experience
Capable of delivering successful presentations to groups at all organizational levels
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Projects
Ability to gain a strong understanding of target markets and products
