This is an exciting opportunity to join the Campus Life team and provide essential operational leadership for Early Childhood Education at the University. The role of the Operations Manager is to provide day to day guidance and support to the University’s ECE centres, the centre leaders and staff. This is a fixed term role for 12 months, to provide essential operations management support whilst the General Manager undertakes some key projects.

This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week), fixed term (Up to 12 months) opportunity.
The remuneration is $94,900 – $117,200 per annum, dependent on skills and experience.

About the team | Mō tō mātou rōpū
Campus Life operates a range of wellbeing services such as Student Accommodation, Counselling and Health Services and Sport and Recreation, which are aimed at removing personal barriers to academic success. It also operates engagement services such as support for student organisations, social and sporting events, volunteering and leadership support aimed at helping students to develop a sense of belonging, build friendships and engage in co-curricular activities that complement their academic development.
Early Childhood Education, part of Campus Life, provides quality childcare and pre-school education services primarily for the children of University students and staff. As at late 2023, there are 6 ECE centres, with over 200 children enrolled.
About you | He kōrero mōu
With proven leadership and operational management skills in the childcare sector, you will be comfortable with the workings of ECE centres. Your strong communication and inter-personal skills makes you able to inspire and motivate your team and other key stakeholders. You should also be highly commercially savvy and have proven problem solving skills, excellent engagement ability and comfortable managing revenue and expenditure budgets.
