The University of Chicago’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience, is searching for a full-time faculty member at any rank. The appointee will contribute to patient care through forensic work, outpatient care and responsibilities for the care of forensic patients admitted under minimum security for restoration of fitness to stand trial. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity as well as assisting in developing a forensic fellowship. We especially welcome applicants familiar with fitness restoration, inpatient psychiatry, and teaching forensic principles to trainees. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board certified or eligible in General Psychiatry, and Forensic Psychiatry, and 4) have residency training in Adult Psychiatry.
