This is an exciting opportunity for a fixed term lectureship, working as part of our excellent clinical communication and behavioural & social sciences teams in the MBChB. The lectureship will be held in the Division of Medical Education, School of Medical Sciences. The Division leads the delivery of innovative undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to over 2500 students using a hybrid teaching and learning approach based on adult learning principles, enquiry-based learning and subject integration.
The successful applicant will have experience in teaching clinical communication and will be someone who has practiced in face-to-face health services. They will have a background in health psychology, health professional education, behavioural sciences, social sciences, health sciences and / or coaching.
You will be expected to facilitate teaching, contribute to assessment design and delivery, supervise students in projects relating to communication and behavioural sciences, create, manage and develop learning resources for students, and teaching resources for tutors, in clinical communication, lifestyle behaviour change, brief conversations about mental wellbeing, and long-term condition management.
