Location/Division Specific Information
Our PPD® Laboratory Services team has a direct impact on improving patient health through the expertise of scientists, industry thought-leaders and therapeutic guides. We are currently looking for a number of Interns to support our Lab Support teams.
Key responsibilities:
Performs a variety of sample and standard handling tasks in support of the laboratory – receipt, check-in, login, labeling, launching, inventory, transport, check-out, etc.
Follows established SOPs and responds to requests from laboratory staff with minimal supervision.
Assists laboratory staff in following sample handling procedures and enforces these procedures as necessary.
Possesses a basic understanding of several portions of the overall sample/standard process.
Communicates status of samples / standards to appropriate laboratory staff.
Reviews and provides feedback on laboratory requests, ensuring compliance with applicable SOPs.
Trains on SOPs, regulatory guidelines, and storage requirements.
Performs work assignments accurately and in a timely and safe manner.
Key Experience
Interest in pursuing a career in pharmaceutical industry
Excellent work ethic and ability to work to deadlines
Good communication skills and attention to detail
