The role:

The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

• Write software engineering documentation (specifications, design, test plans, manuals).
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Develop new user-facing features.
• Design, implement and test software and configuration upgrades throughout the deployment life cycle, following development procedures.
• Analyse, diagnose and resolve errors related to software.
• Support in-service E-commerce systems and ensure their performance is maintained by conducting preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Develop and update product configuration data in SQL.
• Develop and update Client-Server Applications in accordance with design and development procedures.
• Collaborate with team members, overseas software teams and stakeholders in order to produce quality code, implement features, test and fix bugs.
• Participate in design review sessions and peer code reviews.

What we are looking for:

The preferred candidate will meet the following requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in software engineering, IT, computer science or similar discipline.
• Over 3 years of related experience, preferably in Javascript with an understanding of Java, Typescript and SQL
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills and open to a pair-programming environment
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility and a grasp of basic UX principles
• Understanding of code version tools
• Contribute to solution design for future features
• Experience with AWS

Highly Desirable:

• Strong background in testing – front-end, back-end, integration and end-to-end; experience in Test Driven Development highly desirable
• Knowledge of Docker, CI, and CD.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $71,430.26 – $145,007.86 per year
