The following skills are essential and required for the role

• Core understanding of CSS and HTML. You’re welcome to use frameworks, but must be able to compose vanilla CSS and HTML, especially to work within the confines of existing projects
• A foundational understanding of JavaScript
• A foundational understanding of PHP
• Experience with WordPress, ideally bespoke WordPress themes
• Familiarity with using build tools to compile CSS and JavaScript, such as npm, gulp, webpack
• Familiarity with git

Key tasks and responsibilities

• Building websites from bespoke designs
• Implementing website design updates
• Diagnosing and implementing bug fixes
• Account management and client liaison

It would also be useful (but not essential) for you to have

• Advanced knowledge of PHP and more backend-focused development
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React & Vue
• Experience with Figma or similar design tools
