JOB INFORMATION
This is a clerical position performed at Subway/Surface carhouse offices. It involves clerical functions which relate to both carhouse operations and operating personnel.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Checking computer-based system daily for those vehicles due for standard/safety inspections and generating corresponding print-outs
Issuing, collecting work orders for cleaning and servicing of vehicles from carhouse personnel.
Maintaining records for change-offs, emergency road calls.
Printing corresponding repair orders for distribution to carhouse personnel; updating computer-based records by entering completed repair order information.
Extracting data on current vehicle status (i.e. inspection, cleaning, repair and associated labour hours) through the use of the S.M.S./V.M.S. as required by the Foreperson and/or Supervisor.
Checking for completeness of attendance detail (e.g. regular and overtime hours, cost centre, job number) against that provided on job based cards.
Completing weekly TTC Payroll Attendance Sheets and reconciling labour hours
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Require training normally obtained through completion of Grade 12 or its equivalent through practical experience demonstrated by an ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions and communication
Require good typing skills and ability to operate a computer terminal.
Updating the Subway Maintenance and Vehicle Maintenance systems on a daily basis by entering completed information from work orders.
