What You’ll Do – The Role (Responsibilities)
• Execute the sale of generator maintenance/service agreements.
• Manage and facilitate the renewal of all existing contracts in the territory.
• Territory Development:
o Identify, develop, and execute plan to penetrate and maintain accounts for sustainable business.
o Prepare monthly renewals and send out to the customers at least 60 days in advance of the expiry date.
o Follow up on all open renewals and work with customers to renew their contracts.
o Provide budgets and forecasts as requested.
o Visit and work with potential and existing customers to sell the Company’s Generator Maintenance agreements and SMART monitoring systems.
o Actively pursue new and existing sales opportunities.
o Create timely and accurate estimates and quotations; follow-up on proposals to achieve monthly and annual goals.
o Read and interpret specifications and create proposals for customers to meet project closing deadlines.
o Preparing, coordinating, and making presentations.
o Traveling the territory to identify, meet and sell new generator service agreements as well as promote the other strengths and attributes of Total Power.
o Assist the Service Agreement Renewal Team with “at risk” agreement renewals.
o Develop and maintain a customer and prospect listing.
o Take a proactive approach to resolving customer complaints and disputes.
o Keep current all customer contact information, sales opportunities, quotes, update the status of all quotes and final disposition in Company CRM system.
o Submit monthly reports summarizing prior month’s activities.
o Present training seminars to end users. Provide Service training for Customers on codes and generator maintenance requirements.
o Recruit customers for CSA 282 generator maintenance training.
o Learn and understand generator maintenance requirements pertaining to CSA 282/Life Safety generators.
• Other tasks and responsibilities as may be required from time to time consistent with the growth and development of the organization and the position.
What You Need (Requirements)
• Minimum 3 years of successful sales experience in a related or similar industry preferred.
• Thorough understanding of Sales and selling Service Agreements.
• Electrical and mechanical aptitude and/or employment background is considered an asset.
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and CRM Software.
• Valid ON driver’s license in good standing and a reliable personal vehicle required, for business travel.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with our customers and suppliers.
• Experience using sales tracking software preferred.
• Time management, accountability, and dependability.
• Excellent problem solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong multi-tasking capabilities.
• The ability to professionally handle sales rejection required.
• Experience and confidence in making sales presentations a must.
• In the case of a power outage or declared State of Emergency by any level of Government, be available for work.
Working Conditions
• Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
• Overtime as required.
• Lifting or moving up to 30lbs may be required.
• Approximately 75% local travel required.
• Some travel throughout Canada and USA is required.
