Summary About the Position: Serves as Patient Advocate in the Patient Advocate Office, Clinical Services Division, USA MEDDAC, Fort Wainwright. Utilizes a variety of interpersonal, communication, problem solving and negotiation skills to identify, validate, and resolve patients’ concerns. Responsibilities Serves as liaison between Bassett Army Community Hospital (BACH), patients, hospital staff and community for issues pertaining to patient?s rights and advocacy. Initiate appropriate documentation to address concerns of patients and provide critical assistance and consultation to ensure issues are elevated to appropriate channels to expedite resolution. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
