Your role
Are you passionate about trends in the asset management industry? Do you want to support the development of an innovative product strategy by providing competitive intelligence across the asset classes and come up with innovative concepts and concrete product ideas? Do you enjoy collaborating with multinational and cross-functional teams and establishing strong stakeholder relationships? We’re looking for a high performing analyst in Singapore, to:
• Identify mid to long-term trends at an early stage
• Analyze competitors strategic positioning and offering in the different asset classes
• Conduct, summarize and present in depth market research across different asset classes
• Derive and develop strategic product ideas for certain regions and or product families, ensure proper involvement of key stakeholders, partner with multiple other teams globally and build alliances and strong partnerships to support the suggested product and find internal sponsors
• Build a local asset management industry network and establish a strong UBS group network

Your team
You’ll be working in the Strategic Product Development team in Singapore. We are part of the global Product Strategy & Shelf Evolution function and the Products organization of UBS Asset Management. We are a global function responsible for translating both findings from our intelligence as well as from shelf reviews, of our existing product range, into a comprehensive product strategy and drive strategic product development in close collaboration with investment and client coverage teams. Your expertise
• at least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the financial industry, or in a business intelligence, product development function in the financial industry
• solid understanding and insights in the wealth and asset management industry
• high proficiency in Microsoft Office, in particular MS PowerPoint and Excel
• successfully managed global projects in complex environments
• a university degree in management, finance or equivalent preferred
• team player with strong communication skills to build alliances in bilateral conversations with key stakeholders across other functions, regions and lines of business
• solution-oriented, creative and able to cope with complex issues while being accurate and precise
• self-motivated person with strong organizational skills and ability to structure and implement complex projects as well as work on different assignments in parallel
• fluent in English and Mandarin with the ability to write and communicate on complex topics
• an impactful communicator, used to presenting at senior management committees
