UCLA Health Hiring for Patient Services Representative-Pediatrics at Los Angeles, CA Full Time

Reporting directly to the Manager, you will provide direct support to the physicians and patients for pediatric primary and multi-specialty care practice at Children’s Health Center, Westwood or Santa Monica. In this role, your major duties include, are not limited to: acting as a liaison for the patients and physicians in the practice, assisting patients in accessing service within the health system, facilitating communication with referring physicians, scheduling procedures and/or ancillary studies, obtaining authorizations, referring patients to appropriate resources and providing follow-up and lastly, providing support to the patient to ensure an excellent patient experience.

Salary range: $26.99-$38.66 Hourly

Required:

Skill in setting priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities.

Ability to establish and maintain a productive working relationship with faculty, staff, administration, and patients from various social, cultural and economic backgrounds.

Ability to creatively integrate competing demands into a productive working environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly convey complex problems in both formal and informal situations.

Ability to interact sympathetically with a patient population in varying degrees of health.

Preferred:

Knowledge of ambulatory specialty practice and workflows.

Bilingual (English/Spanish proficiency) oral and written communication skills. Skill in editing type written materials for proper spelling, grammar and punctuation in English and Spanish.

Demonstrated knowledge in electronic medical record, preferably EPIC, and personal computer systems and the various software products to perform administrative work.

Working knowledge of patient related policies and procedures as well as a thorough understanding of the University system and the services and programs.
