UCLA Health Hiring for Storekeeper at Los Angeles, CA Full Time

This position is a support position to patient care units, clinics, including the procedural interventional, and radiology areas. In this role, you will perform the following:

• Ordering, receiving, distributing and delivering supplies in a timely manner.
• Distribution of linen, supplies, and equipment as assigned within all facilities at UCLA Health System in accordance with standards established by management.
• Stock, clean, and organize the inventory holding rooms and other work areas.
• Fill orders, pack, deliver, create and maintain appropriate inventory documentation.
• Perform physical inventory counts and accurate data entry.
• Within the procedural and distribution areas, incumbent duties may include the following:
• Work closely with the clinical staff to identify their needs and staging preferences.
• Set up and / or modify products within a supply management software.
• Place orders using a handheld or third party software to replenish inventory to set PARS.
• Lift/carry and transport supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Perform heavy manual tasks including pushing/pulling heavy linen carts up to 400 pounds.
• Reconcile packing slips against orders and delivered content. Assess and revise PAR levels to accommodate changing demand.
• Recommend in inventory cost reduction initiatives.

Required:

• Must be able to obey the healthcare regulations for infection control.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and facilitation skills with a strong customer service emphasis.
• Consistently demonstrates a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Be able to actively participate in Quality Management and PIE programs.
• Demonstrated basic knowledge of materials management information system and other vendor software.
• Demonstrate the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Consistently adheres to Materials Management / Receiving and UCLA Policies and procedures.
• Must be able to attend all in-services/workshops as requested, and assist in the orientation and skill development of new staff members.
• Must be able to attend and participate in required fire, safety, disaster, body mechanics, etc classes and/or drills.
• Always ensures a safe, clean working environment for self and co-workers. Monitors and reports unsafe acts or conditions and assists with resolutions.
• Consistently maintains good guest relations interdepartmentally, intra-departmentally, using English language in both written and verbal format.
• Demonstrates good telephone etiquette. Is sensitive to co-workers, patients, and family members, in a courteous and respectful manner.
• Maintains a positive attitude and behavior: efficient with time utilization/productive, strives to be a team member, prompt attitude, adapts to change in workload, adapts to variable rotating shifts, conducts personal business on break or lunch time.

• Ability to perform heavy manual tasks, push/pull heavy linen carts up to 400 pounds and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
