The Ultimate Care Group is a privately owned Specialist Residential Aged Care Services Provider. We offer rest home, hospital, and dementia care to the elderly in 18 residential facilities throughout New Zealand.

We have a
permanent full time opportunity for an experienced L4 Caregiver at our Ultimate Care Allen Bryant Facility, which is situated in the rural historic town of Hokitika and provides both rest home and hospital facilities. Allen Bryant is a well-established, community-based dwelling with a homely ‘west coaster’ upbeat feel.

Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.

Job tasks and responsibilities

• Providing and maintaining a safe environment for residents.
• Individualized quality care to our residents and assist them to achieve the optimum level of well-being.
• Assist in the provision of a high level of care meeting the standards required.
• Demonstrate customer service and attention to detail at all times.
• Ensure all equipment is used in accordance with relevant guidelines.
• Ensure daily work schedule is completed.
• Communicate with other team members effectively to ensure smooth delivery of service to residents.

Skills and experience

• You must have 1-3 years previous experience as a caregiver, preferable in rest home care, hospital level care, (respite care, dementia Care and palliative Care)
• Proven team member experience
• Proven verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to prioritize and organize effectively
• Previous experience in the Aged Care industry preferred
