POSITION OUTLINE:

This position will be responsible for managing accounts payable cycle in a busy inventory-based environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Three-way match in a multi-currency environment

• Invoice data entry (1000-1500 invoices per month)

• Code invoices and ensure proper approvals

• Solve invoice discrepancies

• Process vendor payments (cheque, EFT, wires)

• Address vendor inquires & resolve issues

• Vendor statement reconciliation

• Filing and other office duties as required

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of high school diploma

• Post secondary business/accounting education is definite asset

• Minimum 3 years’ full cycle accounts payable experience

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an inventory-driven environment

• Working knowledge of 3-way matching and the accounts payable cycle

• Proficient computer skills, especially data-entry skills

• Critical thinking skills with the ability to anticipate and solve problems

• Well organized, with excellent time management skills

• Ability to maintain attention to detail along with a high degree of accuracy

• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

• Ability to maintain an excellent service approach
